Exceeded Limitation for Seats

Abstract:

If you receive an "Exceeded limitation for seats" or "Too many workstations" error message, verify the number of seats for which you are licensed. To verify seats purchased, click Help on the OfficeMate main window and select About.

If you exceeded the number of seats for which you are licensed, call the Sales team at 1.800.269.3666 to purchase additional seats. If you are using terminal services, you will need to purchase an unlimited number of seats. OfficeMate Suite v8 or Earlier

If you have not exceeded the number of seats for which you are licensed, complete the following instructions to clear the error message from the computer:

  1. Log out of all OfficeMate Suite programs on all of your computers.
  2. Reboot your server.
  3. After the server reboots, click Start, select Programs, select OfficeMate Software Solutions, select Utilities, and select OM Clear Logon Information.
    The Users Logged In window opens.
  4. If there are users listed in the window, select each name and click Clear.
  5. After all of the names have been cleared, open the OfficeMate Suite on all other workstations.
  6. Log five users into the OfficeMate Suite at the same time to test the status of logins. If you continue to receive an "Exceeded limitation for seats" error message, call the Client Services team at 800.942.5353.

OfficeMate v9 or Later

  1. Click the Clear Login Info Utility link
  2. When you are asked if you want to save or run the file, click Save.
  3. Navigate to the OfficeMate folder (or OMATE32 folder) on
